Stawa Młyny is a windmill-shaped navigation sign located at the end of the Western Breakwater in Świnoujście at the mouth of the Świna River to the Baltic Sea. The tower is 10 meters high and at its top there is a pulsating light that performs navigation functions. The pond was built in 1873-74 Stawa Młyny is considered a symbol of Świnoujście and is part of the city's official logo.

The beach in Świnoujście is perfect for family stays. It is one of the widest and cleanest beaches on the Polish coast. The shallow coastline and large guarded swimming area make the beach particularly popular among families with children. Lifeguards here ensure the safety of beachgoers. The beach provides excellent conditions for active recreation, you can play volleyball, football and badminton here. From the beach we can observe the movement of vessels: merchant ships, passenger ships, yachts, tugboats and other vessels.

The Sea Fishing Museum in Świnoujście is located in the building of the former City Hall, which is the oldest building in the city, at 1 Plac Rybaka Street. Here you will find collections about the history of the city and the history of fishing. Visitors will see an exhibition devoted to the flora of the Baltic Sea and learn what tools fishermen used in the past. The museum is divided into three sections. On the first floor of the facility you will find exhibitions on the fauna of the Baltic Sea, the Szczecin Lagoon, the Pomeranian Bay, cold Arctic waters and an exhibition of amber. The second floor houses the maritime section where we can admire fishing gear, models of fishing vessels, and navigational instruments. In the historical section we will see documents, photos, ceramics, furniture and other exhibits about the city. The museum will certainly be of interest to both children and adults.

Behind the museum there is a Monument dedicated to those who did not return from the sea. It commemorates all those who died while doing their job and at the same time reminds that the profession of a fisherman also involves risk. The first plaque was unveiled on June 24, 1993 during the Sea Days. Also a monument to Jerzy Porębski, who passed away on eternal watch on August 19, 2021. He was, among others, the creator of the most famous Polish shanty "Gdzie ta keja". Jerzy Porębski was not only a singer, but also a sailor, composer, guitarist and trumpeter. He was a doctor of biological oceanography. He came from Silesia, but he had been living and working in Świnoujście since the 1960s. Mr. Jerzy was unique, open to people, seas and oceans, a cultural ambassador on 44 islands for many years, an honorary citizen of the city of Świnoujście.

The Western Artillery Fort at 1 Jachtowa Street was built at the mouth of the Świna River in the mid-19th century. It was used as a coastal artillery battery. The museum in this place was established ten years ago, so you can admire a rich collection of military items here. It is planned to create four thematic sections referring to the history of the fortress: - Prussian times at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, - World War I, - the 20th interwar period and World War II, - the Cold War and post-war history. The tour route includes the museum exhibition, a walk around the fort: visiting the guardhouse, fire control tower and artillery positions. There is a food court and a kiosk where you can buy souvenirs.

Angel Fort was built in the years 1854-1858, during the reign of the Prussian King Frederic Wilhelm IV, and served as an artillery and observation point of the Świnoujście Fortress (it consisted of 4 forts). During World War II, it was modernized and electricity and central heating were added. There was also a radar, a radio station, a telegraph and a telephone. Then it served as an air observation post for German forces. After the war, the facility fell into the hands of the Russians and was used by them until 1992. Currently, the fort is constantly undergoing renovations. It has become a cultural institution of the city and a place of encounter with history. Exhibitions of painting, photography and sculpture take place here, as well as music concerts, meetings with artists and medieval knight fighting shows. The name of the Fort comes from the fact that its shape resembles the Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome. Inside the facility, the Viking room is particularly noteworthy, where all the exhibits can be tried on, picked up and posed for photos with them. Some of the items are originals, others just replicas. The fireplace room also houses an atmospheric café with a permanent glass exhibition and temporary exhibitions. Here you can admire an amazing exhibition of glass by Dorota Mucha, an exhibition of amber jewelry, navigation equipment and porcelain.

Church of St. Christ the King at pl. Kościelny m 1 is part of the Świnoujście Deanery and is located in the central part of the city on the island of Uznam. The temple was built in 1788-1792 and replaced the previously existing Gothic building. In 1881, a soaring tower with a clock was added to it, which, beautifully illuminated, now dominates the city. Particularly noteworthy here are the historic walls, benches, the painting of Christ's crucifixion and the organ casing. An extremely interesting exhibit is a model of a corvette from 1814, a ship hanging from the vault, which is a regional maritime symbol. There is also a historic organ from 1803. In the months from mid-May to mid-September, the Świnoujście Organ Evenings are held in the church on Saturday evenings.

It is located on the promenade and in its place, in 1911, there was a modest wooden music pavilion. It was only rebuilt around 1925. It is built of plastered brick, which provides very good acoustics, ideal for organizing concerts, cabarets and other cultural events taking place here in the summer season.

The observation tower at 7 Ignacy Paderewskiego Street in Świnoujście is a remnant of the former Protestant church of Martin Luther. The temple was destroyed at the end of World War II. Currently, there is a café and a frequently visited viewing point.

It is one of the largest yacht ports on the Polish coast, housing as many as 400 vessels. It is located in the north-eastern part of the city at Rogozińskiego Street (in the area of ​​the former shipyard). He was awarded the international award "Blue Flag" three times. Its offer includes sanitary facilities, a laundry and drying room, Internet access, a sailing tavern and a general grocery store. It can accommodate vessels drafting up to 6m on the external quay.

The cross-border Promenade Świnoujście - Heringsdorf is a route that can be walked or cycled. There are comfortable benches along the entire length, as well as boards with information about the nature and history of the entire region. There are convenient descents from the promenade to the beach. The place where the border between Poland and Germany is also marked on the promenade. A steel gate was placed there, symbolizing the integration of the border region.

The fountain commemorating the 250th anniversary of the granting of city rights at Juliusza Słowackiego Street (50 m to the right of the Polaris Hotel) was created in 2015, when the city celebrated its jubilee. The main element of the structure is a stainless steel ball with a diameter of two meters. It is an image of the globe with marked continents and, of course, the location of Świnoujście. The elements of the fountain have been illuminated, so it is worth seeing it after dark.

The park is a tangible cultural heritage, entered into the register of monuments in 1988. The park's origins date back to the first half of the 19th century, and it was designed by Peter Joseph Lenne - a famous Prussian garden architect. Interestingly, one of the first one and a half thousand seedlings of ornamental trees and shrubs were brought from Potsdam - from the palace gardens of Sanssouci. The area is a spa park, which is an element of the health resort, it is surrounded by spa houses, squares and a promenade, and inside it you will see many alleys, ponds and fountains, as well as a gazebo where concerts are held in the summer. After dark, the area is partially illuminated, and with a bit of luck you can also encounter wild animals...

Emperor Frederick's Bathrooms are a monument proving that Świnoujście has long been a recognized health resort. The building located on Sikorskiego Street is a large investment from the end of the 19th century, which unfortunately did not come at the right time. It is worth remembering that in recent centuries, people who went to the seaside did not bathe in it! Special buildings called bathrooms were used for this purpose - they did not have to be close to the sea shore, because water could be transported by tanker truck, and later pipelines were used for this purpose. Emperor Frederick's Bathrooms were built at the very end of the 19th century near the Spa Park. It was a large, modern bath complex with rooms for bathing in sea water and brine. In addition, the bathroom complex included a gym and a sauna. However, soon after the construction of this complex, swimming in the sea became fashionable and bathrooms ceased to exist. Of course, attempts were made to save the investment by turning it into a municipal bathhouse, but bankruptcy could not be avoided. Currently, there are apartments in the remains of Emperor Frederick's bathroom complex.

The building houses the seat of the maritime administration. It was built in 1879, designed by Albert Severin. On the right side of the entrance stairs there is a plaque showing the highest recorded water level in 1913. During World War II, the monument was slightly damaged. In 1946, it was taken over by the Polish authorities from the Russians.

The building at 1 Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego Street was built in 1878 and rebuilt in 1900. Above the main entrance there is a balcony supported by two columns that decorate the entire facility.

The tower at 4 Rogozińskiego Street was built in 1898. It is built of red brick, red granite, and red sandstone. At the end of the war, the facility was slightly damaged. Due to its height, the tower was used after World War II by the Soviet army as an observation point.

If you are looking for an idea to spend your time actively in Świnoujście, visit the BLUSZCZ Rope Park at Matejki Street. For those who love thrills, there are 9 routes with over 70 obstacles suspended up to 10 meters above the ground! You can find here, for example, Burmese bridges, zip lines, hanging logs and many others. The park has a safety certificate issued by an instructor of the Polish Mountaineering Association, and the safety systems used are compliant with UIAA (Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme) standards. It is also worth knowing that the park's instructors have undergone training conducted by PZA and AWF instructors, which allows it to maintain world-class safety standards.

The port is located on the eastern shore of the island of Usedom on the Świna Strait at 28 Steyer Street. It includes the Zieliny and Kosa peninsulas and includes three basins: Winter, Coal and Southern. The 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla of the Polish Navy is stationed there. It consists of over 30 vessels for various purposes. Once a year, Navy Day takes place, and you can get on board and see the ships.

The Ferry Terminal at 1 Dworcowa Street in Świnoujście is bustling with life 24 hours a day. This is where sea and land routes intersect. The facility is one of the largest and most modern ferry terminals on the Polish coast. Currently, ferries to Sweden - Ystad and Trelleborg - depart from the terminal. The ferry terminal in Świnoujście has recently been expanded and modernized. There is also a sea border crossing here, accessed by national road No. 3.

Świnoujście's graduation towers at the promenade are made of wood and consist of two platforms. Inside there are thin twigs on which salty water from the Świnoujście Spa is spread. While walking between the platforms, you can inhale an aerosol rich in valuable microelements, such as iodine, bromine, magnesium, calcium or potassium. Inhaling the air around the graduation towers helps in the treatment of respiratory diseases and strengthens the immune system. The recommended inhalation time is approximately 30 minutes.

When in Świnoujście, be sure to take a scenic boat cruise. From Świnoujście you can, for example, go on a cruise to charming German towns or Scandinavia. However, if you are interested in a shorter cruise option, choose a ship that will take you to the most picturesque places around Świnoujście in 2 hours. Through the side you will be able to observe such attractions as: the military port, the sea ferry terminal, the waterfowl reserve on Mielino Island, the transshipment port quay, Młyny Pond or the breakwater of the LNG gas port.
